Starting April 1, 2019, parts of Royal Kunia's refuse and recycling collection days will change.
Visit the City & County Opala Site to see the calendar for color refuse schedule - click the "Collection Schedules" link. Should you have any questions, please call 768-3200 Ext. 3.
This new schedule is for Royal Kunia homeowners except for Site 299 (Hanauna, Heahea (Place & Street), Eleu, Puia, Leia, and Makoa Streets). Those named shall keep to current refuse pick up schedule.
Making Appointments for Bulky Item Pick-Up
As of June 2020, the City & County will no longer have scheduled bulky item pick-ups. Starting July 1, 2020, residents will need to make an appointment via the the City & County Opala Site or call 768-3200 option 0 (zero). If you see bulky items dumped on public roadways, please reach out to City & County Refuse to let them know.
As a friendly reminder, Bulky Items should be placed at curbside near your home. Bulky Items are NOT allowed in Common Areas.

The City & County of Honolulu Department of Environmental Services (ENV) has convened a Landfill Advisory Committee (LAC), which will be holding their first meeting on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00pm to review eligible spaces on the island. There are three identified possible areas along the Kunia Road corridor. This is an opportunity for the community’s voice to be heard by participating in the survey and public hearings.
